This UK organisation's sole purpose is to find new homes for Border
Terriers that, for many different reasons, need to be re-homed.
We
are known to some people by our acronym BTW and to others as Border
Terrier Rescue.

10TH FEBRUARY UPDATE

Welcome to our February update.  Back to work, back to school, Christmas and New Year now far behind us; although the snow remains in places!

The number 14 above corresponds to the number of BTs we have rehomed since the beginning of 2010.  This number will be updated every month along with the rest of the website.

Thank you to those who have already emailed us pictures of their Border Terrier for our BTW Calendar 2011.  I know it may appear a little early to do so but I can assure you the deadline will be upon us in no time at all.  The sooner you email them through the sooner your BT will have their allocated space in the Calendar. Please email me your pictures at the following email address: calendar2011@borderterrierwelfare.org.uk

By the way, we welcome photographs of your BT with a Labrador, Jack Russell, Alsacian or any other breed. Your BT's friends should be able to pose as well whatever their breed!

As usual keep your questions coming for Viv and Debbie:

For Viv  doggrooming@borderterrierwelfare.org.uk

For Debbie dogtraining@borderterrierwelfare.org.uk

I have done a little tidying of our website to make it easier to use: three pages no longer appear on the main menu: you can now access 'A few rehoming stories' when you click on 'BTs needing a new home', 'History' when you click on 'About the Border Terrier' and 'Dog Poems' when you click on 'Dog Stories'.  It sounds much more complicated than it is, honest!  By clicking 'Dog Stories' for example, 'Dog Poems' will then appear in the menu with a slight indent.

Talking about 'Dog Poems', check out our new posting kindly emailed to us by Jane from the New Forest.  Do send them in, they make such lovely reading!

I have also created a 'Debbie's old Qs & As' and 'Viv's old Qs & As' in which I have put all the old questions and answers that have been added to the Dog training and Dog grooming pages, so that you can easily find the latest questions and Debbie and Viv's answers without having to go through all the old ones first.  You can access the new pages through 'Debbie's Dog training page' and 'Viv's Dog grooming page'.

Also from Border Terrier Club is an announcement from their Treasurer Euan of a Raffle, which profits will go equally to the Border Terrier Club and Border Terrier Welfare.  The first prize will be 'Sudden Encounter':
